Bay Islands of Honduras Itinerary
Day 1: You will arrive at the Roatan airport and greeted by a crew member who will whisk you back to your yacht in the tender. Get settled, get into your swimsuit and relax as your captain takes your yacht around the end of Roatan to anchor near West Bay Beach. Spend the rest of the day snorkeling before enjoying a splendid dinner on board, under the stars.
Day 2: A local dive master will pick you up at the yacht to take you SCUBA diving on the two local wrecks or dive one of the spectacular nearby reefs, your choice. Return to the yacht for lunch, then head to the island for and afternoon of exploring. Check out the waterfalls, try out one of the zip lines or just hang out in one of the local pubs.

Day 3: Leave for Utila, enjoying your breakfast while underway. Your captain will anchor in a secluded cove so you can take advantage of the crystal waters to swim right off the yacht. Later on, a local guide will come to take you “whale shark hunting” and a chance to swim with these beautiful, gentle creatures.
Day 4: Since once is definitely not enough, the guide will take you whale shark hunting again this morning for another opportunity to swim with one. You will return to the yacht for a lovely lunch before heading back to Roatan. We will choose a bay to spend the night: perhaps French Harbor on the south side, or Pollytilly Bight on the north side. Spend the rest of the day swimming, using the toys, snorkeling or
just relaxing. |
Day 5: Today we will head over to Guaranja to fly fish for the wily bonefish. Later, let’s go snorkeling, and then maybe take a nap in preparation for a night of dancing at the Mountain View disco on Bonacca Cay.
Day 6: Start with a leisurely late brunch, followed by a choice of deep sea fishing or perhaps a reef dive. Enjoy sundowners followed by a spectacular dinner. Later on, lounge in the deck chairs under a star studded sky before trailing off to bed.
Day 7: Enjoy your breakfast while underway as your captain heads back to Coxen Hole and the Roatan airport. If time allows, take one last quick swim off the back of the yacht before heading home.
